GENERALS 101
This is a simple reminder for all Generals and Colonels or future Generals and Colonels, by request, to help you indicate any problems in your branch or simply just to better your branch!
Questions/Answers:

#1) Running Meetings.
-Please make sure ALL your meetings are ran!!! At staff meetings, ask a variety of your staff.. "Hey. Can you run the 5 or the 9 tomorrow? or Sat.. it's easy and will create a stronger upper staff. If you are on or want to be on a different game, take 30 seconds to find someone to run the meeting or see that it's being ran. This is most important for your lowest members, if you have low staff, msg another general of another branch to inv for you, I know it's a pain running every meeting sometimes; if you lack the people. Feel free to message another branch's higher staff if you see it is not being ran.

#2) Is your branch boring? Are people bored in your branch?
-Look for things to do in your branch, such as Teams, Tournaments, Scavenger Hunts, Contests, etc.

-If your staff are getting bored running meetings, assign them to other staff and look at your mid-range ranks and teach them how to do meetings to give your highest staff a bit of a break. Make sure everyone is sharing the work, otherwise people will get burnt out doing everything, and it isn't fair for them.

#3) How often do you send out Branch Messages?
-Branch messages are very important! You should always send out a reminder meeting time msg to everyone, at least every 2-3 weeks, reminding them of clan meeting, staff meeting and generals meetings for rank and time zones.

-On the opposite weeks you should remind your SGTS and below about recruiting, so they can get promoted that week.

-Any tournament should be sent out in a branch message to everyone regarding the time/day/details/ and who is running.

(Most branch msgs should be in text, which you can do over xbox.com but i know it can be a pain if you do not have a keypad for your Xbox 360 Controller.)

#4) Lacking Tournaments
-Tournies are very easy! If it seems like it's been a while since someone is running one, mention it at a clan meeting, anyone at any rank can run one, but you sometimes do need to assign your staff to host one. It can be as easy as a Team Snipes down to Custom Maps/Games. Don't hold back signing people up to run them.

#5) Candy Promotions
-Are people getting candy promos? Well, sometimes you have to do this! If your branch needs certain ranks- mostly CPLS/SGTS/LTS and maybe CAPTAINS, someitmes people need to be promoted early, just to balance your branch,

-What if they don't need the promo but, are promo'd anyway. If you recently branched off and you make all your staff early, such as already having 4 majors or 2 cmnders, guess what, your branch will be slow to move, you need to refrain from promoting people too early past CAPT, especially when your maxed at certain high ranks. You don't want to put all the stress on them to run all the meetings for the next two months before you will branch off again. Take your time, remember the ranking structure, and that people should be CAPT for 4 weeks -Mjrs 4 weeks, etc.

#6) Why we have a Maximum on certain ranks per Branch-Off.
-You MUST have a max of  2 COLONELS, 3 COMMANDERS, 6 MJRS ONLY when you branch. Reason: when you branch typically, your COL is a new GEN, you will split 1 CMNDR per branch and 2 MJRS per branch, this allows both branches to promote  MJRs to CMD,  CMDs to COL, CAPTs to MJR. Make sense?

#7) Age Requirement/Demotions
-Everyone knows when your meeting is loud/echoing/lagging you want to kill yourself. It's important that your highest staff are mature, and can handle calming a loud meeting, or running it accuratly.

#8) Does your branch have less than 30 people?
-Partner up people randomly, or even after a clan or staff meeting when more people are on and go to big team in groups to go recruiting. If this isn't working well please talk to others in different branches for their help too.Members with a good amount of discipline/respect can handle these positions.

#9) Branching-Off
-When you have 75-80 people you should go through at this time and delete or msg anyone with wrong mottos, this is a good time to look at the staff you currently have, who is active, and how many of each rank you have or need, and think about who you are planning to promote.

-At 85-90 people, you and your Colonel(LIEUTENANTs' Job) should go through the list and view everyones service records to make sure their emblem and colors are correct or that no one has been offline for more than 14 days, and delete or msg them, they are considered inactive.

-At 90 people, considering you have done the top two already, talk with the colonel and comanders about who is going where for staff, and make your new branch account. At 90 minimum people you should split your list evenly, and send out multiple branch msgs for where people are going and the changes.

-After branch off, give people 4-5 days to transfer over, after that the new branch general should go on their branch account and send friend requests to all the people that have not transferred, and another msg to remind them of transfer.

-After 2 weeks for both branches you can send out 1 more final msg and/or delete your inactive memebers and evaluate who you think you need for new promos of staff etc. Also, you should run joint meetings for the first 1-2 weeks after a branch off.

#10) General What not.
-Everyone should be having fun here, being a general or future general requires a bit of work, and time for sure, we understand it's not for everyone, or it's too much to ask for some. Don't be afraid to ask for help, or talk to others before a problem persists for a long period of time, because it usually effects everyone in your branch; not just you or your staff, but the new people eager to meet new people and rank up. If you're unsure of what's wrong in your branch, don't give up or ignore the offer for help, no one will think of you differently.
